Mr P. Launches Footwear

MR PORTER’s own-label brand, Mr. P, continues to expand with its first foray into footwear and men’s accessories. As you’d expect given Mr P.’s initial releases, this latest collection focuses on essentials – the building blocks of a man’s shoe collection – and spans both casual and formal styles.

Arriving 5 September, Mr P. is introducing eight core footwear silhouettes – including loafers, Derby shoes and white leather sneakers – which will form the basis of its “essentials” range, available year-round. Alongside this, seven seasonal styles are available for AW18, including lace-up boots, suede desert boots and a pair of shearling-lined walking boots.

As for accessories, a range of plain cotton socks in grey, black and navy will sit alongside heavy-gauge versions in various patterns and colourways, ideal for teaming with heavier footwear throughout the winter months. Later in the season you can also expect a selection of scarves to be released, including twill check options in blue and rust, double-faced check styles in green and mustard, and an oversized navy wool and cashmere design with crimped detailing.

In total, the September ready-to-wear drop consists of 46 pieces (complementing the 29 permanent, core Mr P. staples), spanning the above product categories plus outerwear, tailoring, knitwear and sportswear in an autumnal colour palette of grey, navy, yellow and burgundy. Highlights include a grey corduroy double-breasted suit, a striped green mohair jumper, a navy leather bomber jacket, an ochre military shirt and an oversized yellow checked shirt.
