MR PORTER Launches its Third Mr P. Collection

Mr P. Third Collection

Today, MR PORTER has launched its third and latest Mr P. collection. The MR PORTER own-label brand offers everyday essentials and trend-inspired seasonal necessities. After successful first and second collections MR PORTER has committed to launching five new capsules per year.

Open Waters and Iconic Watermen

Designed and led by Ape’s own commandments of menswear: easy pieces, smart details and enduring style, the latest high-spring into early-summer collection of Mr P. has an underlining nautical theme. Taking inspiration from style on the open waters with references to iconic watermen, such as Jacques Cousteau and John F Kennedy.

The 32 piece ready-to-wear collection boasts a relaxed, California-cool vibe. Breaking new ground Mr. P are introducing shorts, alongside relaxed tailoring, laidback sportswear, garment-dyed T-shirts and shirts with a colour palette of washed-out and sun-bleached tones. Very much on-trend for spring summer 2018. Standout pieces include a matching seersucker blazer and shorts, knitted pique polos, a deep-rib stripe crew-neck T-shirt, a cotton camp-collar stripe shirt, a terracotta worker jacket and an unlined navy blouson.

As with every new collection, Mr P.’s third offering sits alongside its essentials range, which comprises of 24 core staples that are available year-round on MR PORTER.

“I love how this collection mixes a rugged ‘shipyard’ style with a more sophisticated ‘naval’ vibe, but is then reinterpreted and made contemporary with Mr P.’s signature aesthetic. For example, a seersucker blazer could be seen as customary yacht club attire, but when teamed with a stripe crew neck T-shirt and sneakers, it becomes very modern and wearable. This collection is all about playing on tradition through relaxed silhouettes, fabrics and cut.” -Olie Arnold, Style Director, MR PORTER

Each limited-edition capsule collection will be seasonal and inspired by eras and style icons, past and present. Mr P.’s high-summer offering will land in July followed by fall and winter collections arriving in September and November, with the introduction of shoes and accessories. Prices range from £55 to £395.
